Millstream Shorts

I did many of these animations during my placement year at Millstream Productions. As a Junior Animator I got the opportunity to create a plethora of short animations for their social media, as well as, took part in bigger projects... Check them out! I have used Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustator and Blender.

For this mini-project I challenged myself to learn new software like Adobe Illustrator and Blender.

Something I enjoyed was to mix 2D and 3D aesthetics and create a nice blend of textures and mediums.

The animation above was a visual test for a charity project lead by Millstream Productions, in which they got invovled with Wokingham's community and gathered their stories.

Participants were asked to draw objects or situations that represented their daily lives and struggles. The brief was to create a mixed media animation for their voice-overs. Many of the assets in the animation were sourced from the participants' drawings, which I cropped and slightly edited in Adobe Pohtoshop and later animated it all in Adobe After Effects.

These were specifically for Millstream's social media, which was posted on their Instagram.

I had a lot of fun with these, trying to come up with ideas and cute loops!

The OUTSIDE project was my first lead project. I created the storyboards, most of the assets, animated it, edited and composited it. I used Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After effects. My main focus laid in simple but visually pleasing animation and transitions.

Due to its infographic style the animation is reliant on transitions and clear visuals. This was somethign that the NHS of Sussex asked in their brief. They also wanted it to be eye-catching and engaging!
