Pie & Vinyl Shorts

These sets of short animations were made for Pie & Vinyl, a vinyl shop local to Portsmouth, for their social media. I wanted to create visually interesting animations, testing PS1 like graphics as well as a blend of 2D and 3D animation. I used Blender, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.

This music group was heavily inspired by 70's fashion. Flower patterns, bright colours, jeans, big jewellery and flares were a big influence in their creation. Bands like Fleetwood Mac influened me greatly.

These objects reference many of the little trinkets in the shop.

The random trinkets, plants and figurines tell a story, and adorn this local Vinyl shop.

I wanted the focus to be on the musicians as much as it is on the shop's relaxed atmosphere.

I modelled these objects in Blender and textured them in Substance Painter.

Their sketchy surface was inspired by Arcane.
